MEETING MINUTES
July 2007
The July meeting was called to order by our president David Walker at 7:00 p.m.
Jim Windham, club treasurer, reported a total of $5396.52 in the club bank account.
There were not any reports from Dave Connelly(safety officer), Jon Little(member at large), or Gene Hannah(adviser to the board of directors).
Jim Beam reported that the club website and newsletter are doing well. Jim did state that he will continue as newsletter editor if no one steps forward.
David Walker cannot be the garbage man anymore as he has lost his place to dump the garbage. Perhaps we can use the dumpsters at one of the schools on Saturday from 9:00 a.m., until 3:00 p.m., or maybe the dumpster at the service station can be used. David also mentioned that he would take the garbage bags out of the cans if some of the members would dispose of them. This seems to have worked well.
David stated that the club will lease 10 tables at the Hamfest in November for displaying our airplanes. If you want to sell some stuff you need to rent your table(s). The first table is $15.00 and subsequent tables are $10.00. More details about this later.
As a safety reminder, please fly from the center of the field outward.
The program was really special as Mr. Strong (Jamie's dad) told about his experience of being stationed at Hawaii and bombing by the Japanese on December 7, 1941. Mr. Strong also told about his responsibilities while being assigned to flying on PBYs'.
George Garzon and others commented on how good the field looks since it rained.
