For many years our logo consisted of a ram’s head
because our initials spelled RAMM. After much discussion
it was finally decided we needed a logo that better represented
aeromodeling. Since Montgomery is only a few miles from Tuskegee,
we adopted a P-51 painted in the Tuskegee Airmen scheme to honor
their contributions to the war effort over Europe during WWII.
At a open house at Maxwell AFB here in Montgomery a couple of years ago. We were
honored to set up our static display in the same hangar with the
surviving Tuskegee Airmen. Of course we got lots of autographs
and spent hours discussing flying with these men of aviation history.
